Editing Objects

All the graphic objects in
Create, including text objects, have certain characteristics that can be changed. All objects, including Create, EPS, TIFF, JPEG, GIF and PNG images, can be moved and resized. In addition, you can change any inspector characteristics for graphic objects created in Create.

To edit an object, first select it (see above for information on selecting objects in
Create.)

Copying, Cutting and Pasting

You can duplicate objects and move them within your document, to other documents or to other applications that accept TIFF, EPS, JPEG or GIF graphic formats by using standard OpenStep editing commands. Select one or more objects and choose Copy or Cut from the Edit menu. Move to the document you want to put the objects in and choose Paste.

Deleting

To remove objects and place them in the Pasteboard for later pasting, select the objects and choose Cut (Command-x) from the Edit menu.

To remove objects without putting them in the Pasteboard, select the objects and choose Delete from the Edit menu or press the Delete key.

Choosing Undo from the Edit menu (Command-z) will restore your deletion if you really want the graphics back.
