Split Path splits a spline, poly line, or a freehand object at a selected handle into two unjoined objects. This will work on any of the above objects regardless of whether they were one object to start or were joined using Join Paths. This command is only available when one object handle is selected, and it cannot be the first or last handle.

Reverse Path changes the direction of a spline, spline line, poly line, or a freehand object. This is very useful to exploit the "non-zero winding number rule" in PostScript, especially in conjunction with groups of paths used for creating a composite Mask in "Mask Group". This would, for example let you make a pencil graphic, reverse it with "Reverse Path" and then use it to create "holes" within the mask.

Add Handle adds an object handle to a spline, spline line, poly line, or a freehand object. If no handle is selected, the new handle will be added at a point that is equidistant along an imaginary straight line between the start and end handles. If a handle is selected, the new handle will be added at a point that is equidistant between it and the next handle.

Note:
When a handle is added, a new line is created between the handles. The new line does not necessarily conform to the slope of the existing line segment.

Delete Handle deletes a selected object handle from any spline, spline line, poly line or freehand object. It is active only when one object handle is selected. To select an object handle, just click on it.

Bind Text allows Super Text to flow along a path consisting of a spline or spline line. Select one of each and choose Bind Text. You can edit the curve or change the font, but you must ungroup it to change the text.

Make Spline will make a selected object into a spline. This applies to all Create objects with the exception of Box Graphic, Super Text, and Paragraph Text objects. For example if you make a circle into a spline, the object will remain a circle but the object handle will have control handles that can then be adjusted to edit the shape of the circle.
